Bend Tattoo School at Monolith Tattoo Academy
Welcome to Monolith Tattoo Academy! We pride ourselves on providing a rigorous, expansive, educational experience to a select group of diverse, talented, intellectually cultured students who are capable of challenging themselves and their peers in a supportive learning environment. Our mission is to cultivate artists who can improve the tattoo industry by utilizing their well rounded knowledge on the history, functions, and requirements of the industry and to apply their developed skill, creativity, and interpersonal skills. We offer a 360 hour program that focuses on preparing students for the State of Oregon Tattoo License Exam with 210 hours of theory and 150 hours of procedures. The Academy operates Monday through Thursday from 10am to 6pm and is closed during all National Holidays. We have space for up to 4 students during one enrollment term at this time.
All applicants must meet all of the following requirements:
- Have earned a high school diploma or GED
- Be at least 18 years of age (Government issued ID required to confirm)
- Submit a 500 word essay
- 20 piece portfolio

1When can I apply?
You can apply at any time. If you are accepted, your term of enrollment will be specified in your acceptance letter.
2What if I live out of town? Can I still attend?
Yes! We have great options for out-of-town students! Inquire at our email for more information.
3How many times can I apply?
As many times as you like however, there are requirements for reapplication. Inquire at our email for more information if you are wanting to apply for a second (or more) time.
4Do you offer payment plans?
Not at this time.
5Do you offer scholarships or grants?
Not at this time.
6How much is it?
$15,000 in total. That fee includes the application fee, enrollment fee, tuition, and supplies (i.e. tattoo machine and accessories, iPad and Apple Pencil, set of inks, disposables, and more).
7I work a full time job, will I still be able to attend?
